Founded in August, 2019 by Gordon Levy – Gordon’s New York Pizza & Craft Beer is proudly Central Vietnam’s first American style pizzeria. During Gordon’s first year in Danang working as an English teacher, he really struggled to find pizza that compared to what he grew up eating back in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. After craving authentic New York style pizza for many months, he decided to learn how to make pizza & combine his over ten years of experience in the American restaurant and hospitality industries with his drive for quality service, passion for food & dream of starting his own business. It was at this juncture that Gordon’s New York Pizza was born.
Gordon’s New York Pizza & Craft Beer first began in the Son Tra Night market, located next to the iconic Dragon bridge serving street-style pizza by the slice – Gordon was actually the first foreigner ever to become a vendor in the traditional Vietnamese market. Gordon founded Gordon’s New York Pizza & Craft Beer with the goal of introducing the local people of Danang to New York style pizza and give them an opportunity to try pizza at a higher quality and more affordable price than what was already available. Additionally, to offer the travelers and Expats staying in Danang a more familiar and reliable option for food. Gordon has instilled the lessons & training he acquired in the USA to provide the highest standards of quality, taste and food hygiene to their guests. Gordon’s is also proud to select the highest quality ingredients & products available on the market, while working with some great innovative companies from around Vietnam.
Eventually, Gordon’s scaled up to adding deliveries and into the full-service pizzeria that it is today located in the heart of the An Thuong area near My Khe Beach. At Gordon’s, you can find many things found nowhere else in Danang or Central Vietnam; over 70 different Vietnamese craft and imported beers from around the world, authentic New York style pizza, as well as American style buffalo wings, breakfast sandwiches, desserts & more.
In the future, the team at Gordon’s New York Pizza & Craft Beer hopes to offer even more guests with the New York experience with new products and locations in Danang, Hoi An and throughout Vietnam.
